Using ScopeAlarm

ScopeAlarm is a tool that helps freelancers log client requests and get an assessment of whether they fall within an agreed scope of work. By creating an account, you agree to use it lawfully and not to misrepresent information you submit.

Subscriptions and billing

ScopeAlarm is billed monthly through Stripe, with a 14-day free trial for new accounts. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Client payments

If you connect a Stripe account to accept payment from clients for approved out-of-scope work, that money is transferred directly to your own connected Stripe account. ScopeAlarm is not a party to that transaction and is not responsible for disputes between you and your client.

No professional advice

ScopeAlarm's scope assessments are an automated tool to help you think through a request — they are not legal advice and don't replace your own judgment or a written contract with your client.

Limitation of liability

ScopeAlarm is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including disputes with your clients.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of ScopeAlarm after an update means you accept the revised terms.
